Connexin is certified as a fostering friendly organisation

Connexin, Hull-based smarter technology and digital connectivity specialist, has partnered with Hull Fostering, to become a certified ‘fostering-friendly’ organisation to support the growing need for foster carers in the area.

As part of this commitment, Connexin will offer three days of paid leave to employees that are applying to become a foster parent and provide five additional days of paid leave annually to employees who foster children.

Hull Fostering is the largest fostering service in the local area and is part of Hull City Council. Hull faces one of the highest rates of looked-after children in the UK, creating an urgent need for more foster carers to provide stable and loving homes. Connexin’s new fostering-friendly initiative aims to address this pressing issue by supporting employees who wish to foster, giving them the flexibility and resources to balance work with their fostering responsibilities. The five days of additional leave can be used for fostering commitments, including mandatory training and progress meetings, helping potential carers overcome practical obstacles to fostering.

This new initiative builds on Connexin’s recent achievement as a ‘Great Place to Work,’ highlighting the company’s commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive workplace that nurtures growth and compassion. With a shared commitment to improve outcomes for children in need, Connexin is proud to partner with Hull Fostering to encourage employees and others in the community to consider fostering.
