Who’s eligible?

Eligibility for UK government-funded Skills Bootcamps generally includes the following criteria:

Age Requirement: Individuals must be 19 years or older.

Location: Participants must live in England to be eligible for funding, as the Skills Bootcamp initiative is part of the UK government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee for England.

Employment Status:

Unemployed or Job Seekers: Individuals looking for work who want to gain skills for employment.

Employed: Workers who want to develop new skills to advance or switch their career paths.

Self-Employed: Self-employed individuals looking to upskill and improve their business.

Commitment to Completion: Participants should be committed to completing the course and engaging with all elements of the bootcamp, including assessments and project work.

Employer-Sponsored Candidates (if applicable): Employers may nominate existing employees for a Skills Bootcamp. Employers may need to contribute a portion of the cost if the bootcamp is part of a sponsored development program for employed staff.

UK Residency: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and meet residency requirements.
